Uhh, some of YOU need to give it up with the Beyonce crap! It was….okay.
But clearly, this performance was not a tribute to God. If the purpose of
the song is to worship God, then why wear a tight, sheer gown that has
been purposely lit up from behind to show Beyonce’s figure through the
gown. This production was totally staged to promote “Beyonce” the artist
    and not “God’ the almighty.

Beyoncé had no soul strength or warmth for this song. She can’t sing what
    she don’t feel. She’s a demon.

NO – NO – NO – NO. THE PERFORMER WHO SANG IT IN THE MOVIE (LEDISI) SHOULD
HAVE SUNG AND I’M SORRY, BEYONNCE DID NOT HAVE THE CHOPS TO PULL IT OFF –
I LIKE BEYONNCE, BUT THIS WAS A SLAP IN THE FACE TO LEDISI, AND SHE REALLY
DID NOT DO THE SONG ITS DUE JUSTICE (LACK OF EXPERIENCE).

Nope,,,wasn’t impressed…I normally Love Queen Bee but her runs were
excessive, she was pitchy and the fact she used her name to bump the
original Soundtrack Artist Ledisi was UNCOOL!!
Ledisi a real Gospel and Soul Singer would have been better and Beyonce
could have sang another song from the Civil Rights movement if she felt the
need to be tied to her church roots!
People Please stop drinking the Beyonce Kool-Aid!

I used to be a fan. Now, I’m so disappointed in Beyoncé and Jay Z. They
should have put Kanye in his place. They allow him to ruin the awards for
other winners. They are vocal for everything else, they should put a stop
    to Kanye’s nonsense.

No doubt she has a powerful, lovely voice. But for me the performance was
more about “see what I can do with my voice” than it was about the struggle
and pain that birthed this song. It seems – to me – that it was a
performance – every minute move, every single voice trill – not a cry, or
worship – and that is why it was a poor song choice for this event.

Ledisi’s grandparents were discriminated against & considering her age, her
parents were probably apart of integration. She sounds exactly like Mahalia
Jackson. Beyonce stole her moment so she could put on a melodramatic,
theatrical performance. Incredibly tacky and shame on Lend & Common for
    giving in.

Beyonce singing a gospel song is like a snake being called an angel. It
    just doesn’t make sense. #oxymoron
